Giulio Briccialdi Conservatory announces Verdi concert series

The Giulio Briccialdi State Conservatory of Music in Terni is launching a series of three concerts dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the composer's death. Directed by Massimo Gualtieri, the project features soloists, a choir, and an orchestra from the conservatory, collaborating with local choral groups from Terni, Rieti, and Bagnaia.

The concert schedule is as follows:

• September 8 at 7:00 PM: Teatro Secci in Terni (free admission until capacity is reached). • September 9 at 7:00 PM: Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti (free admission until capacity is reached). • September 10 at 9:00 PM: Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto, as part of the tenth edition of the Festival della Piana del Cavaliere (paid admission).

The program will explore various aspects of Verdi's musical production, focusing on the relationship between individual voices and the collective dimension of the choir. Repertoire includes works such as Nabucco, Il trovatore, Rigoletto, La forza del destino, La traviata, and Macbeth.
