Giulio Pellizzari wins stage 3 of Vuelta a Alemania

Giulio Pellizzari of Red Bull-Bora won the third stage of the 2026 Vuelta a Alemania, a 170.8-kilometer route from Herxheim to Bad Dürkheim. Pellizzari finished with a time of 4:03:44, narrowly defeating Isaac del Toro of UAE Emirates-XRG in a sprint. Marc Hirschi of Tudor Pro Cycling finished third, 34 seconds behind the winner.

During the stage, Isaac del Toro launched a significant attack approximately 35 kilometers from the finish during the ascent of the Rotsteig. While Pellizzari eventually caught and passed the leader, Del Toro's performance allowed him to seize the overall leader's jersey from Louis Barré of Visma-Lease a Bike. Del Toro now leads the general classification with a 52-second advantage over Barré and a 1-minute and 5-second lead over Hirschi.
