Giurgiulești Port access road blocked by mud and traffic

The access road to the state port in Giurgiulești, located on the Prut River, has become impassable due to severe mud and deep puddles. Truck drivers are reporting that the narrow and deteriorated infrastructure is causing significant traffic jams in both directions, particularly during the current grain export season.

Transport operators face increased costs and delays as heavy vehicles carrying agricultural products remain stuck. Drivers have called for urgent intervention from authorities to provide at least temporary repairs and to implement traffic management at the port entrance and exit to prevent further gridlock.
