Giuseppe Collu appointed to referee Lazio vs Monza

Referee Giuseppe Collu has been appointed to officiate the upcoming Serie A match between Lazio and Monza at the Stadio Olimpico.

Collu's previous encounters with Lazio have been marked by controversy. During the 2025-26 season, he officiated a match between AC Milan and Lazio at San Siro where he declined to award a penalty to Lazio following a VAR review. Despite the monitor showing a handball by Strahinja Pavlovic, Collu ruled that a foul had occurred prior to the incident.

Statistically, Collu has overseen two matches involving Lazio, resulting in one draw and one loss for the club, with no penalties awarded in either fixture.
