Giuseppe Farese presents novel in Scalea

Writer and journalist Giuseppe Farese will present his novel, “Punizione a due in area,” at Palazzo Spinelli in Scalea as part of the “Visioni d’Autore – Scalea Cultura” series. Published by Homo Scrivens, the book is a mystery set in 1985 Naples, centered around the security services during the famous Napoli-Juventus football match and Diego Armando Maradona’s iconic free-kick goal.

The narrative follows Franco Lorusso, a Digos inspector managing stadium security while investigating two separate cases. The novel maintains a direct connection to Scalea, inspired by historical photographs of Maradona’s visit to the town for a charity match on November 4, 1985. The event aims to preserve local memory and identity through these rediscovered historical records.
