Giuseppe Grieco: Actor, playwright, and poet in Liguria

Giuseppe Grieco is an actor, playwright, and poet based in Albenga, Liguria. He directs the theater company Mare Tempestoso and has been writing poetry since 1989.

Grieco's literary work is characterized by two distinct styles: lyrical descriptive-narrative poetry and a more essential, hermetic style known as Ligurian-Ponentine "threshold" poetry. In 2004, he co-founded the Cenacolo Symbol 2000, contributing to the definition of this hermetic poetic line which focuses on brief, essential verses and pure imagery.

His work ranges from discursive reflections on landscape and civil thought to a minimalist approach that relies on subtraction and open interpretation.
