Giuseppe Gugliotti slams Ampugnano airport redevelopment plan

Mayor Giuseppe Gugliotti of Sovicille has denounced the Enac Servizi proposal to redevelop the Ampugnano airport as a “shoddy copy‑paste” project. He says the documentation contains numerous errors, such as incorrect references to other airports, tables that do not add up, and a complete lack of a masterplan that defines what Ampugnano is and what it should become.

Gugliotti also criticised the timing of the service conference, held in August with a short deadline and a “silence‑assent” procedure, arguing that it limits public debate. He claims the project shows a total lack of attention and respect for the Lazio region, the Senese community and the local territory, and warns that no realistic, technically sound or economically sustainable plan has been presented.
