Giuseppe Signori appointed Italy Under-20 head of delegation

Former Italian striker Giuseppe Signori has been appointed as the head of delegation for the Italy Under-20 national team. The appointment, confirmed by the FIGC, places Signori in a leadership role supporting the squad coached by Carmine Nunziata.

The decision was finalized by FIGC extraordinary commissioner Giovanni Malagò and federal technical director Claudio Ranieri. Malagò highlighted Signori’s professional background and sporting experience as significant assets for the development of young players and the strengthening of their connection to the national team.

Signori, a prolific scorer with 188 Serie A goals and a prominent figure in the 1994 World Cup, returns to the federation following a period of legal challenges related to the 2011 football betting scandal. He was eventually acquitted in proceedings in Piacenza and Modena, with the court stating 'the fact did not exist.'
