Rome school attack: 13-year-old stabs teacher FAST-MOVING

A 13-year-old student attacked 66-year-old history teacher Isabella Marsilio at the Giovanni Verga middle school in the Centocelle district of Rome. According to investigations, the student first sprayed the teacher with pepper spray before stabbing her three times in the armpit area with a serrated knife. The assailant reportedly wore a cycling helmet with a phone attached to it to film the assault for a social media livestream.

The motive appears to be linked to the student's resentment over academic debts. Investigators also discovered a premeditated element, noting a TikTok post by the student featuring a '-5 hours' countdown accompanied by sounds of gunfire hours before the attack. The student's social media profile reportedly included references to the True Crime Community.

Ms. Marsilio was transported to Vannini Hospital in yellow code and received stitches; she is in shock but not in life-threatening condition. She has expressed a desire to forgive the student. The incident has sparked intense national debate regarding school security, the influence of social media on youth violence, and the need for increased legal authority and protection for educators.
