Giuseppe Vinci appointed head coach of Handball Club Modica

Giuseppe Vinci has been appointed as the new head coach of Handball Club Modica under a multi-year agreement starting with the 2026/27 season. A prominent figure in Sicilian handball, Vinci brings extensive experience from his career in Syracuse, including roles with Vigili del Fuoco Siracusa and Albatro Siracusa.

Throughout his career, Vinci has achieved various promotions, regional titles, and participations in national leagues such as Serie A2 and Serie A Elite. His experience also extends to international competitions, including the EHF Challenge Cup and EHF Winners’ Cup. Additionally, he has served as a technical official for FIGH Sicilia and as an assistant coach for the Italy Under-18 national team. In 2020, he received the CONI Bronze Palm for Sporting Merit.

Vinci stated that his decision to join Modica was driven by a strong passion for handball and the club's desire for a leader who provides experience and enthusiasm. His project at Modica will focus on youth development and fostering a strong sense of belonging and commitment within the team.
