Journalist and food blogger Giusina Battaglia has suffered the sudden loss of her husband, Sergio, who passed away over the weekend. The news was shared on air by Antonella Clerici during the Rai 1 program ‘È sempre mezzogiorno’.

Clerici expressed condolences to Battaglia and her two ten-year-old twin children, noting that the entire production team stands in solidarity with her.

Sergio, a professional cameraman, played a significant role in Battaglia's professional journey. He was responsible for filming her initial cooking videos during the 2020 lockdown, which helped launch her career from social media to Food Network.
