GIXO opens new data analysis office at Toyama Airport
Data analysis consulting firm GIXO has opened a new office within Toyama Airport (Toyama Takayama Sushi Airport) to advance airport operations through generative AI and data analytics. The initiative is part of a comprehensive partnership agreement with Toyama Airport Co., Ltd. aimed at creating new industries and employment opportunities in Toyama Prefecture.
The new office features an interior design that integrates local traditional crafts, including Takaoka copperware, Shike silk from Nanto City, and Toyama cedar. GIXO plans to use its ‘AI-Informed Platform’ to analyze airport data, such as souvenir sales and visitor trends, to enhance operational efficiency.
GIXO CEO Tomohiro Amino stated that the office serves as a base to provide value nationwide from Toyama, while also recruiting local talent. The partnership aims to transform the airport from a mere transportation hub into a center for data-driven decision-making and regional co-creation.
