Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency fines over 60 public officials for asset non‑declaration

More than 60 public officials in Kosovo have been fined for failing to declare their assets within the legal deadline. The fines, imposed by the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency (APK), range up to 500 euros and represent about 30 % of the officials' salaries. Half of the penalties have already been paid, while the remainder are under appeal.

APK director Yll Buleshkaj said the delays are linked to changes in local power structures. In addition to administrative fines, the agency has forwarded dozens of criminal referrals to the prosecutor’s office for suspected concealment or false declaration of assets, moving those cases from administrative to criminal proceedings.
