GJLS: Berapi-Api comedy film set for November 2026 release

The comedy-action film ‘GJLS: Berapi-Api’ is scheduled for release in Indonesian cinemas on November 5, 2026. Produced by Amadeus Sinemagna and GJLS Entertainment, the film serves as a sequel to ‘GJLS: Ibuku Ibu-Ibu’.

In this installment, the comedy trio consisting of Rigen Rakelna, Ananta Rispo, and Hifdzi Khoir portrays firefighters attempting to fulfill their childhood ambitions. The plot focuses on the chaos that ensues as the characters face high-pressure situations, structural panic, and internal ego conflicts while dealing with actual fires.

Director Monty Tiwa returns to helm the project, utilizing the trio's signature improvisational style. Rigen Rakelna noted that the film departs from the family-oriented themes of the first movie, instead emphasizing panic, shouting, and the testing of friendships under pressure.
