GKMNU and UNFPA to map reproductive health curricula in pesantren
Gerakan Keluarga Maslahat Nahdlatul Ulama (GKMNU) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are forming a team to map reproductive health curriculum instruction within pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). This mapping serves as an initial phase to develop recommendations for strengthening reproductive health education in these institutions.
A workshop held in Jakarta focused on aligning perceptions and preparing the curriculum team. The mapping process will utilize specific measurement tools to ensure structured and accountable results. The initiative plans to conduct observations across six locations: Aceh, DKI Jakarta, Cirebon, Jombang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The study will cover various educational models, including Salafiyah schools without formal education, mixed systems, and those based entirely on formal madrasah education.
