Polish side GKS Katowice returned to European competition by qualifying for the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, where they will meet Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv in the second qualifying round. The first leg is scheduled for 6 August 2026.

UEFA has imposed a €35,000 fine on Hapoel Tel Aviv for the use of pyrotechnics in a recent match and issued a conditional one‑match fan travel ban that will be enforced only if a similar incident occurs again. An additional €5,000 fine was levied for damage to stadium seats in Bulgaria, and the club was instructed to negotiate compensation with the Bulgarian federation.
