GKSS wins 2026 Allsvenskan sailing championship

GKSS has won the 2026 Allsvenskan sailing championship, successfully defending their title. The victory was secured during the fourth and final leg of the competition held at Ekerö, near Stockholm.

Despite facing challenges from light winds on Lake Mälaren, the Gothenburg-based team maintained their lead. While Halmstad SS performed strongly in the preliminary rounds, GKSS secured a decisive win in the final race after a chaotic start involving several false starts from competing teams.

In the final standings, Halmstad SS took second place, overtaking KSSS, which finished third. The winning GKSS crew included helm Malcolm Björsson, Amanda Ljunggren, Oscar Andersson, Klara Utterström, and Carl-Fredrik Fock.
