Glacial retreat highlights global impact of climate change

Global glacier retreat serves as a visible indicator of the ongoing climate crisis. In the Alps, the Bossons glacier has receded five kilometers since the 1970s, while the Mer de Glace in Chamonix remains a key site for observing the significant impact of warming on Alpine ice.
