Gladbeck and Amberg announce upcoming community festivals

The city of Gladbeck will host its 21st 'Umsonst & Draußen' music event on August 21, 2026, at Willy-Brandt-Platz. The program, themed 'Auf gute Freundschaft – 60 Jahre durch die Musikgeschichte', celebrates the 60-year town twinning between Gladbeck and Schwechat, Austria. Musical acts include Catchy Tunes, Acoustic Groove, and Migenda & Friends.

In Amberg, the Luitpoldhöhe district festival is scheduled for September 12, 2026. Organized by the Luitpoldhöhe shooting club and local neighborhood management, the free event features music, shows, and food at the Hörburgerstraße playground. The festival is supported by federal and Bavarian state funds through the 'Social Cohesion' urban development program.
