Legendary singer Gladys Knight, known as the ‘Empress of Soul’, has announced plans to reduce her touring schedule. At 82 years old, the seven-time Grammy Award winner stated she intends to complete a few remaining performances before stepping away from the road to focus on her family and new ventures.

Knight’s decision follows recent speculation regarding her health after videos circulated online appearing to show her looking disoriented during performances. Her son, Shanga Hankerson, has publicly expressed concerns regarding her demanding schedule and her well-being, while also making allegations against her husband, William McDowell.
