Gladyz Butanda calls for leftist unity in Michoacán

Gladyz Butanda Macías has called upon leftist forces in Michoacán to prioritize political unity over personal or group interests. She warned that internal divisions could jeopardize the continuity of the ‘Fourth Transformation’ (4T) leading into the 2027 elections.

Butanda emphasized her commitment to working under the leadership of Carlos Torres Piña, who was recently ratified by the national leadership of the Morena party as the state coordinator for the 4T. She stated, “Morena is a single movement, there are not two,” and urged members to avoid misinformation and blackmail from those seeking individual ambitions.

To strengthen the movement, Butanda called for alignment with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the state coordination. She also announced the launch of a series of citizen meetings titled “La 4T te escucha” (The 4T listens to you) to be held throughout the state to gather public demands and build an electoral platform for the upcoming elections.
