Gladyz Butanda rallies 27,000 supporters in Michoacán for 4T transformation
Gladyz Butanda Macías, a candidate to coordinate the state defence of the Fourth Transformation (4T) and national sovereignty in Michoacán, led assemblies that gathered over 27,000 participants across 26 municipalities. The events focused on reinforcing the movement’s bases, defending the US‑Mexico‑Canada Trade Agreement (TMEC) and promoting local development.
During a meeting with the Cámara Mexicana de la Industria de la Construcción (CMIC) delegation for Michoacán, the construction‑industry chamber publicly endorsed Butanda’s candidacy and highlighted its commitment to keep investments in public works in the state. In her speeches, Butanda linked the defence of TMEC to the protection of jobs, agricultural production and family stability in the region.
Separately, Gabriela Molina, a regional coordinator of the defence movement, praised President Claudia Sheinbaum’s policies that aim to dignify campesinos, reduce food insecurity and support programmes such as “El maíz es la raíz” and “Fertilizantes para el Bienestar”, which reach tens of thousands of small producers in Michoacán.
