Gladyz Butanda visits remote community in Michoacán to advance state transformation plan

Gladyz Butanda Macías, former secretary of Urban Development and Mobility for the Michoacán state government, traveled to the village of Casimiro Leco – also known as El Cerecito – in the Cherán municipality on 16 July 2026. Accompanied by local deputy Eréndira Isauro Hernández, she met with residents to hear their needs and incorporate them into the state‑wide "Transformation" initiative promoted by the Morena party. Butanda emphasized that development must reach Mexico’s most remote indigenous settlements and be based on territorial organization, mutual respect, and socially impactful public works. Both officials thanked the community for their hospitality and reaffirmed a commitment to pursue the project together.
