Glamox secures marine lighting contract for Taiwan's Formosa 4 wind farm
Norwegian company Glamox has secured a contract to supply marine lighting for 35 wind turbine foundations at the Formosa 4 offshore wind farm in Taiwan. Under an agreement with ProCon Taiwan and SK oceanplant, Glamox will provide over 900 marine luminaires to cover the interior and exterior of the turbine transition pieces, including boat landing areas, guardrails, ladders, and access doors.
The lighting systems, which include the MIR G2 system and FL60 LED floodlights, are being fabricated by Century Wind Power in Taiwan and SK oceanplant in South Korea, with deliveries expected in August 2026.
Developed by Synera Renewable Energy, the Formosa 4 project is located approximately 20 kilometres off the coast of Miaoli County. The farm will consist of 35 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW wind turbines. Synera Renewable Energy previously announced in December 2026 that it had sold the entire output of the 495 MW farm through three corporate power purchase agreements.
