Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games unveils world‑class athletics track at Scotstoun Stadium

Glasgow’s 2026 Commonwealth Games have installed a new Dynamik Mondo Sportflex Super X 720™ track at Scotstoun Stadium. The surface, described as the most technologically advanced in the world, will host 59 athletics and para‑athletics medal events from 27 July to 1 August, featuring athletes such as Josh Kerr, Eilish McColgan, Katarina Johnson‑Thompson, Shericka Jackson and Timothy Cheruiyot. Organisers say the track will leave a lasting legacy for local clubs and athletes after the Games.

A daily‑mirror special‑edition guide titled “Let the Games Begin” has also been released, offering athlete interviews, a day‑by‑day rundown and venue details to help fans follow the competition across the ten sports contested in Glasgow.
