Glasgow launches sustainable hospitality campaign ahead of 2026 Commonwealth Games

The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the city council and Sustainable Glasgow, has introduced the All In Welcome programme to showcase sustainable hospitality during the 2026 Commonwealth Games. More than 70 cafés, bars, restaurants and hotels will serve drinks marked with a reusable stencil made from repurposed ocean plastic, linking the event to the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign.

Venues will donate £1 per featured cocktail to the Commonwealth Sport Foundation, and the stencils will be given to schools after the Games to promote circular‑economy concepts. Glasgow City Council leader Susan Aitken described the initiative as creating “small moments of connection” while highlighting the city’s commitment to sustainability and hospitality excellence.

The campaign aims to boost visitor experience, support local businesses and reinforce Glasgow’s reputation as a leading circular‑economy city during the world‑stage sporting event.
