Glasgow's Centre for Contemporary Arts contents put up for online auction

The Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) in Glasgow, which closed after entering liquidation earlier this year, has had all of its furnishings, books, and technical equipment placed on an online auction. The sale, listed on the Bid Spotter platform, runs until Thursday 30 July, with items starting at £1.

The liquidation follows the venue’s loss of a £3.4 million three‑year funding package from Creative Scotland, awarded in January 2025. Campaign group Save Our CCA condemned the disposal, calling it “devastating” and urging the public to sign a petition demanding accountability from Creative Scotland and to join upcoming protests.
