Glashütte Original unveils Senator Meissen ‘Cherry Blossom’ watch

Glashütte Original has released the Senator Meissen ‘Cherry Blossom’, a collaboration with Meissen, Europe’s oldest porcelain manufacturer. The timepiece features a 40mm 18k red gold case and a dark blue Louisiana alligator leather strap.

The watch dial consists of a white porcelain disk hand-painted with Jugatsu-zakura (October cherry) blossoms. Each layer is fired in a 900°C kiln to achieve depth and intensity. The watch is powered by a self-winding calibre 36-16 movement, which includes a 100-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring.
