Glass History Colloquium Scheduled in Ostrava, Czech Republic for October 2026

The Slovak Archaeological Society’s Glass History Working Group will host a two‑day colloquium on the history of glass in Ostrava, Czech Republic, on 7–8 October 2026. The event is co‑organized with the Ostrava branch of the National Heritage Institute and will feature scientific papers, short presentations and posters by researchers from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and abroad.

Topics include archaeological glass finds, historical production techniques, archaeometric analyses, conservation and restoration of historic glass, and regional glass history of Moravia and Silesia. Participants are invited to register by 30 June 2026 via the provided email address.
