Glass industry focuses on innovation and training at upcoming global events

The global glass industry is focusing on innovation, sustainability, and professional training through several upcoming international events and milestones.

In Germany, Glasstec 2026 will take place in Düsseldorf from October 20 to 23. The exhibition will center on digitalization, decarbonization, the circular economy, and artificial intelligence. During this event, the company Forel will celebrate its 50th anniversary by showcasing high-speed thermoplastic insulating glass lines designed for large-scale automated production.

In Spain, the sector is also addressing key challenges. The ‘Oficio y Luz’ sessions in Granada are bringing together professionals and educators to discuss the future of artisanal glass and the preservation of traditional techniques through specialized training. Additionally, the Glass Forum 2026 is scheduled for November 12 in Madrid as part of the Veteco framework, where experts will debate topics such as glass traceability, production management, and recycling processes.
