Glen Alpine: Man killed in violent Sydney home invasion

A man in his 20s, identified as Marco Tapia, was killed during a violent home invasion in Glen Alpine, Sydney, on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 am at a two-storey residence on Mount Sugarloaf Drive.

According to reports, a group of invaders stormed the property and opened fire on the resident. Emergency services declared Tapia dead shortly after their arrival. The attackers fled the scene before police arrived and remain at large.

An expansive crime scene has been established as detectives gather evidence and interview neighbors. The State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad is assisting local police with the investigation.
