Actor Glen Powell is rumored to be cast as the character Gaston in an upcoming Disney live-action prequel to ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The project aims to explore the origins of the film's primary antagonist.

Industry insiders and reports suggest Powell would replace Luke Evans, who portrayed the role in the 2017 live-action remake. While Disney has not officially confirmed the casting, the project is reportedly in development with a script written by Dave Callaham. The film is expected to have a ‘swashbuckling’ tone.
