Glendale Preschool Crash Injures Eight Children

A 79‑year‑old driver in Glendale, California, confused the gas and brake pedals while attempting a U‑turn in the parking lot of Grandview House Preschool, a facility affiliated with Temple Sinai. The vehicle accelerated, struck a parked car, broke through a gate and collided with a classroom wall.

Eight children, ages around four to five, sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital before being released to their parents. No adults were injured. Police investigations found no signs of impairment and classified the incident as an accidental crash, stating “the gas pedal and the brake pedal were confused.” No arrests were made and terrorism was ruled out.

Authorities advised motorists to avoid the 1200 block of North Pacific Avenue while the scene was cleared.
