Glenelg agricultural property offered for sale in New South Wales

The Glenelg agricultural property, located 16km northwest of Grenfell and 40km south of Forbes in New South Wales, is being offered for sale by the Swiss-based company Demeter Capital.

The 837-hectare (2,607-acre) property is characterized by 90 per cent arable land, strong red loam soils, and a reliable average annual rainfall of 600mm. It is currently planted with wheat and canola, and includes grazing wheat used for fattening lambs.

Structural improvements on the site include three self-emptying silos, a hay shed, and 11 dams for water supply. The property features double frontage to Ooma Creek, a tributary of the Lachlan River, and is divided into 11 main paddocks. Marketing agent Angus McLaren of Miller & James Real Estate described the site as a ‘blue chip cropping or fattening block’ suitable for various seasonal conditions.
