Glenglassaugh and Blind Summit Whisky announce new single malt releases

Glenglassaugh has announced the addition of a 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky to its permanent core range. Developed by master blender Dr Rachel Barrie, the expression is matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and Spanish wine casks, notably omitting ex-bourbon components. The release is scheduled for July 20, 2026, with an initial UK launch through The Whisky Exchange, followed by North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Separately, independent bottler Blind Summit Whisky is releasing a limited series based on a single 35-year-old Macallan cask distilled in 1989. The release consists of 30 paired sets, where the original spirit has been split and finished in two different casks: Rivesaltes fortified wine and Barbados rum. Each 50cl bottle is priced at approximately $1,650, with the paired set costing roughly $3,300.
