Glenlea Park Poll Merino stud marks 50th sale with $16,000 topper

The Glenlea Park Poll Merino stud celebrated its 50th annual ram sale with a significant result, achieving one of the highest on-property sale averages for the season in South Australia.

Out of 109 heavy cutting rams offered, 101 were sold with an average price of $3,321. The sale topper reached $16,000 for Lot 5, an AI-bred ram (GP 25-0114) purchased by Will Lynch of Boorana stud. The ram featured a 17.3 micron wool test and high performance indices. The sale, which is the second under the ownership of Joe and Lucy Murdoch, saw several other rams sell for $6,000.
