Glenn Close stars in ‘La bola negra’ by Los Javis

The film ‘La bola negra’, directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi (known as Los Javis), has achieved critical and commercial success. The production features international stars, including Oscar winner Penélope Cruz and veteran American actress Glenn Close, marking the first time the directors have worked with a Hollywood performer of Close's stature.

Beyond its casting, the film explores themes of inherited silences and generational trauma. It examines how family secrets, suppressed identities, and the weight of social appearances impact descendants. Through the character of Alberto, played by Carlos González, the narrative delves into how past wounds and unfulfilled lives shape the emotional heritage of subsequent generations.
