Glenn Close to receive honorary Oscar at Governors Awards

American actress Glenn Close has been announced as a recipient of an honorary Oscar at the 17th Governors Awards, scheduled for November 15 in Los Angeles. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present the distinction in recognition of her extensive career, which includes eight competitive Oscar nominations for films such as ‘Fatal Attraction’ and ‘Dangerous Liaisons’.

In addition to the upcoming award, Close recently participated in a ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where she left her hand and footprints in cement. Her career spans over five decades and includes more than one hundred film credits, ranging from prestigious auteur cinema to major popular productions.
