Glenn Maxwell and Scott Boland named in Victoria One-Day Cup squad

Glenn Maxwell and Scott Boland have been named in Victoria's One-Day Cup squad for their upcoming match against New South Wales in Melbourne. The fixture, scheduled for September 25, will mark the first floodlit match at the Junction Oval following the installation of new lights.

Maxwell, who announced his retirement from One-Day International cricket in early 2025 and is currently not under a Cricket Australia contract, returns to List A cricket just five days after captaining the Belfast Wolves in Dublin. Victoria coach Chris Rogers noted that the presence of such experienced players would influence developing squad members and lift the team's overall performance.

Boland is also included in the squad ahead of his departure to South Africa with the Australian Test squad. Victoria is currently managing several absences due to players participating with the Australia A squad in India and the national ODI squad in South Africa.
