GLEX Ignition event in Coimbra to feature NASA and ESA experts

The GLEX Ignition scientific event will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, on October 29 and 30. The conference features prominent figures in space exploration, science, and innovation.

Confirmed speakers include NASA geologist Kelsey Young, who leads a scientific team for the Artemis project, and ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen, a former commander of the International Space Station. Additionally, American scientist Sue Smrekar will attend, representing NASA’s VERITAS mission to Venus.

Born from a partnership between The Explorers Club of New York and Expanding, the event aims to discuss the evolving space ecosystem, including lunar and Martian missions, new technologies, and the growing global space economy.
