Gliwice expands community infrastructure in Sośnica district

The district of Sośnica in Gliwice has seen the development of new community-focused infrastructure. A new traffic safety town has been established on Wielicka Street, designed to teach children and youth road rules through practical use of bicycles, scooters, and skateboards. The project, funded by the Gliwice Civic Budget at a cost of 428,040 PLN, includes 41 road signs, solar-wind streetlights, and greenery installations.

Additionally, the city is expanding its social integration efforts through neighborhood houses. The first such facility, ‘Serce Sośnicy’ (Heart of Sośnica), has been operating since May at Skarbnika 3. Managed by the local Social Assistance Center, these spaces are intended to serve as accessible hubs for residents to organize local events, workshops, and sports activities based on community needs.
