Gülnar hosts 9th International Science and Culture Events

Gülnar Science and Culture Events Mersin women and society symposium academic workshops cultural festivals

The 9th International Gülnar Science and Culture Events are being held in the Gülnar district of Mersin from August 28 to August 30. The three-day program brings together participants from the fields of science, culture, and art through various symposia, workshops, and cultural activities.

The opening day featured a symposium on ‘Women and Society’ led by Dr. Meryem Gürbüz from Kocaeli University. Following this, workshops themed ‘Productive Women’ are scheduled to take place at the Gülnar Market Area on August 29 and 30.

Supported by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and other institutions, the event aims to contribute to the social and cultural life of the district. General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ayşe Çalık Ross noted that the event has become an international brand since 2016, previously attracting participants from approximately 38 countries.
