Global Africa Business Initiative hosts Unstoppable Africa forum in New York

The fifth edition of ‘Unstoppable Africa’, organized by the Global Africa Business Initiative (GABI), is being held in New York on September 20-21. The event coincides with the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Under the theme ‘Powering Business, Scaling Economies, Shaping the Future’, the forum brings together over 2,000 international and African business leaders, heads of state, and government officials. Discussions are focused on five key sectors: trade, energy, digital transformation, creative industries, and sports.

Notable attendees include UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Dangote Group CEO Aliko Dangote, and various African leaders such as John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia. The initiative, convened by the UN Global Compact, aims to strengthen ties between public and private decision-makers to promote Africa’s economic potential.
