Global aviation market shows growth in Asia and North Africa

The global aviation sector shows significant regional shifts and growth. In terms of market capitalization, Delta Air Lines leads the world with $58.5 billion, followed by United Airlines at $40.1 billion. Ryanair holds the third position globally with a $31.1 billion valuation, serving as the top non-American carrier and dominating the European low-cost market.

Asia is becoming a major force in the industry, with ten of the top 20 airlines located in the region, including carriers such as IndiGo, Air China, and Singapore Airlines. This growth is driven by expanding middle classes and increased regional tourism.

In Africa, the aviation sector is expanding at a rate of 8.4%, outpacing the global growth rate of 2.6%. North Africa is the leading sub-region on the continent by volume, with Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria showing strong seat capacity increases. National carriers like Air Algérie and Royal Air Maroc are driving this regional momentum, with Air Algérie seeing a 16.8% increase in capacity.
