Global box office led by Avengers re-release and regional hits

The global film market continues to be led by major US productions, with ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ generating over $127.6 million worldwide since its re-release on September 25, 2026. International markets account for 70.5% of this total, earning approximately $89.9 million, while the US market contributed $37.6 million.

This special edition of the 2019 film includes new sequences designed to bridge the Infinity Saga with the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ scheduled for release on December 18, 2026. The re-release is part of a strategic effort by Marvel Studios to rebuild audience engagement.

In Latin America, regional successes are also notable. The Brazilian comedy ‘Minha Melhor Amiga,’ directed by Susana García, maintained its position as the number one film in Brazil with earnings of $2,746,508. Other regional box office highlights include the Australian animated film ‘Mary and Max’ in Mexico and the Venezuelan horror film ‘The Whistler’ in Colombia.
