Global box office sees records for ‘7DOGS’ and ‘Spider-Man: A New Day’
The film ‘7DOGS’ has achieved significant commercial milestones in the Arabic film market, earning over $24.2 million globally after 83 days of release. The film has sold more than 3.25 million tickets, making it the highest-selling film in the history of Arabic cinema. It also holds records for the highest opening in Arabic cinema, the highest-selling film in Egyptian cinema history, and the highest number of tickets sold for an Arabic film in Saudi Arabia.
On the global stage, ‘Spider-Man: A New Day’ continues to dominate the box office. The film, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, has surpassed $2 billion in global revenue since its July 31 release. It has become the highest-grossing film in Sony Pictures' history and set a new record for the highest domestic box office weekend for a Marvel film, earning $360 million and surpassing the previous record held by Disney’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Other notable films include Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which earned $23.2 million in its fifth week, and Warner Bros’ ‘The End of Oak Street’, which debuted with $21 million.
