Global celebrities reveal Polish ancestral roots

Several international celebrities have revealed Polish ancestral roots. Nicole Scherzinger, leader of The Pussycat Dolls, recently visited Warsaw as part of the group’s ‘PCD Forever’ tour. She shared that her great-grandmother was Polish and expressed a desire to honor her heritage by eating pierogi.

Other notable figures with Polish connections include Scarlett Johansson, whose grandparents emigrated from Poland during World War II; Adrien Brody, whose great-grandfather moved to the United States from Poland before the war; and Ben Affleck, who identified as Polish following a genealogical test indicating ties to the Pomerania region.

Additionally, Simon Cowell noted potential family links to Poland through his grandmother, Esther Malinsky, and John Krasinski traced his lineage to the town of Świerczynek. Juliette Binoche also has family ties to the country, with parents originating from Częstochowa.
