Digital Identity Verification Market to Surpass $29 Billion by 2030
Juniper Research forecasts global spending on digital identity verification will rise by 55 % between 2026 and 2030, climbing from just under $19 billion in 2026 to more than $29 billion by 2030. The growth is driven by tighter global regulations, increased investment in interoperable systems and consolidation around unified verification platforms.
The market is expanding beyond financial services: e‑commerce, gig‑economy and digital‑native platforms are now the most aggressive buyers, while financial services will remain the largest segment but its share will decline. Leading vendors identified in the 2026 Competitor Leaderboard are LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Experian and Thales, all noted for deep proprietary data assets, AI‑native fraud decisioning and the ability to orchestrate document, biometric and behavioural signals in a single layer.
“Growth is no longer concentrated in financial services. eCommerce, gig economy, and digital‑native platforms are the most aggressive buyers of ID verification solutions; scaling toward lifecycle monitoring,” said report author Shane O’Sullivan.
