Global diabetes and CRP testing markets projected to grow through 2030

The global markets for glucometers and C-reactive protein (CRP) testing are projected to see significant growth through 2030, driven by rising rates of chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.

The glucometer market is expected to expand from $15.43 billion in 2025 to $26.77 billion by 2030. This growth is fueled by increasing diabetes prevalence and the adoption of advanced technologies, including AI-enabled monitoring, wearable devices, and cellular-connected tools like Smart Meter’s ‘iGlucose Plus’. Additionally, MTD Group recently acquired Ipsomed’s diabetes care business to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets like China and India.

Simultaneously, the CRP testing market is forecasted to grow from $3.52 billion in 2025 to $4.48 billion by 2030. The demand is driven by the need for early detection of inflammation and cardiovascular risks. Technological advancements, such as Siemens Healthineers’ high-sensitivity hCRP2 assay, are improving low-concentration detection. Roche has also expanded its point-of-care capabilities through the acquisition of LumiraDx’s platform.
