Global discussions focus on the ethics and impact of artificial intelligence

Various international events are addressing the ethical and societal implications of artificial intelligence. In Brazil, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) will host the XVII Religious Culture Week from September 28 to October 2. The event, themed ‘Who controls whom? Discerning, re-existing and growing in humanity in the era of Artificial Intelligence’, will explore how rapid technological advancements affect human freedom, labor, and dignity.

In Porto, Portugal, the Happiness Camp event on September 24 will feature discussions on AI and digital security. The program includes experts Paula Goldman, Beena Ammanath, Jacqueline Beauchere, and Fay Kallel, who will discuss the ethical application of technology in corporate environments and its impact on mental health and the future of work.
